Resumo: | This research seeks to understand how the dispute over the widening of Nossa Senhora de Fátima Street, located in Aglomerado da Serra slum, in Belo Horizonte, brings out elements to reflect on contemporary urban planning. Through the approach of cartography of controversies, it was mapped the human and non-human actors involved, and also the associations between the actors engendered in this process. By mapping, it was possible to identify the emergence of three major themes associated with the dispute around the Street widening: the commercial resettlement located in informal settlements, the access and circulation of technical information and the participation of community leaders. The intensity of these three major issues surrounding the widening of the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Street allowed me to understand how it was rejected by local community and also helped me to reflect on many issues related with contemporary urban planning |
