Resumo: | The aim of the research reported in this thesis was to analyze the learning process of written language by children in a municipal web where a project of in-service teacher development is in course. The questions that guided this research were: In situations where there is a collective effort and permanent action so that the students obtain satisfactory learning results, are there students who fail? In case there are, why do they fail? Thus, the purpose of this research was to verify the influence of the in-service teacher development project on students learning results. The methodology adopted was longitudinal analyses of the learning process of written language, having as a source the results of assessment through internal diagnostic tests, promoted by the municipal web itself, and external tests, created by state and national authorities, during the period between 2008 and 2011. Data analysis turned to the trajectory of students who got unsatisfactory results, in order to find the relationship between poor performance and teachers procedures, school features, and students cultural, socioeconomic and family status. Data demonstrated that students results are due to evasion and retention, and to conditions which lie outside school walls. However, data also showed that poor performance in the beginning of schooling was gradually overcome, leaving, at the end of the period studied, only a few students with persistence of bad performance. |
