Resumo: This work presents an overview, in terms of Brazil and the world, about the development of photovoltaic energy and the impact due to the integration of photovoltaic generation systems in power distribution systems. As a complement, national and international regulations on the integration of distributed generation to the network and concepts and definitions of voltage sags are presented. In this context, this work presents the modelling of a distribution system composed by the Solar Photovoltaic Plant Governador Magalhães Pinto stadium, the Mineirão, the connecting feeder and a substation, all from CEMIG, a major power utility in Brazil. Using these models, it is developed a tool for automated short circuit simulations. Through this methodology, it is possible to change many parameters related to this electromagnetic disturbance, during each simulation, such as type, resistance and fault location. The modelling and simulations performed aim to present a study on the impact of the integration of photovoltaic generation systems to the electric network related to the electromagnetic disturbances. The results were organized in the form of probability curves, through which it is possible to assess the impact of the solar power plant on the severity of the voltage sag, due to short-circuits.
