Resumo: | This work aims to analyze memory narratives of chestnut migrants workers in the southeast of Para, in order to understand their relationship with the cultural heritage of these migrant workers and the formation of culture and sense of belonging that currently make up the inhabitants of the community in this region. To achieve this goal, we built this dissertation into four chapters. In the first chapter, we present an overview of the history of southeast Para, paying attention to economic and migratory cycle that have been developed in this region around the collection of Brazil nuts. In the second chapter theoretically was studied the themes of narrative and memory with a view to a perception of the narrative as knowledge always partial and incomplete and also a memory as a collective work of reconstruction of the past. They were closely linked to the interests and views of the present. In the third chapter we have studied issues such as culture, identity and migration to support a reflection on the diversity and the cultural hybrid of southeast Para. Finally, in the fourth chapter, we show the results of our field research, in which interviews were conducted with the remaining chestnut workers. Their memory narratives were analyzed with based on the theoretical framework of the previous chapters. So, the interviews reveal that there is a subaltern voice that it highlights different cultural heritages that converge in the same space, creating a new culture and it has witnessed a history of conflict and oppression. |
