Resumo: | This study is part of the context of accelerated and simultaneous development of the processes of urbanization and technological development. On the one hand, the socio-spatial conflicts derived from the density of the cities have resulted in significant loss of quality of life and presented an increasing need to promote efficient management of urban resources, especially in developing countries like Brazil. On the other, one begins to observe the dissolution of a deterministic thought, according to which information technology would be responsible for a revolution in society with a decreasing of physical distances and growth of a generalized interactivity based on ubiquity of IT. Therefore, that would culminate in the dissolution of city, by the restriction of social, economic and cultural life in material spaces. In recent years, the understanding of IT as an independent agent of change and also linked to the production of material spaces has increased. As a result, IT and urban areas are in a state of mutual and recursive influences. In this sense, it is taken as the object of this research an urban cutout located in the Central-South Region of Belo Horizonte, having as objective to study the correlations between the configurational analysis and incident records made by the users of urban space and stored in social networks accessed through Internet via desktop and mobile tech equipment. The main results and contributions of the research is to evaluate the environmental quality of urban space examined as well as the possibility of formation of a methodology for efficient management of urban space. It was aimed to understand the temporality of the places surveyed, it means, how their transformations take place and for what an initial state can become. Thus, it was observed the changes and the way that recursively physical forms and social forms change. It is believed that the use of information technologies applied to urban management and added to the configurational studies is able to reflect the dynamism of the urban situations, including providing guidance for future urban transformations to be planned. However, it was aimed to verify the possibility of using this analysis as an innovative procedure rather than reach a conclusion on the environmental status of the urban sector studied, considering that the recorded phenomena are dynamic and must be understood according to the recursive transformations between spaces and urban activities. At the same time, such analyzes will allow the routing of future research for the advancement of instrumentation design and urban design with Environmental Computing. |
