Resumo: This research aims to discuss the insertion of museums as didactic possibility in the teaching of History. This is a hypothetical-deductive type of proposal, in which a hypothesis is presented and, by means of deduction, its proof is verified. The hypothesis indicated that some themes of the curriculum of the 6th to 9th year of elementary school in the discipline of History are examples that, related to the collections of the Mineiro Museum located in the city of Belo Horizonte, present possibilities of construction of diverse scripts for teachers of this discipline, Capable not only of contributing to the best use of History teaching, but also generating reflections and learning that are beyond the limits of the classroom. Through a discursive panel made up of History teachers who work in public education in the indicated school years, information and proposals were collected for the creation of a blog that guides and contributes to the teaching-learning process through formal and informal practices that can be Explored on visits to the museum. The analysis was based on the sociocultural pedagogy of Paulo Freire, who understands that teachers act as mediating agents in the education process. To understand the teaching of History in museums, the research seeks educational practices already carried out in the works of Francisco Regis Lopes Ramos.
