Resumo: | The study of ageing of asphalt cement (CAP 50/70) provided by GabrielPassos Refinery (REGAP) and modified by incorporation of hydrated lime in different concentrations was performed. The asphalt binders modified with hydrated lime were aged using the RTFOT (Rolling Thin Film Oven Test) method to simulate aging during the asphalt mixture machining and subsequently they were placed in the weathering chamber in which the aging is simulated by xenon radiation and humidity. The ageing times were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 hours. The asphalt mixtures oxidative ageing was evaluated using Fourier Transform InfraredSpectroscopy (FTIR) by ATR method (Attenuated Total Reflectance). The chemical composition was performed by SARA fractionation. The modified binders with a concentration of 10% (mass) of hydrated lime showed the best performance among the modified binders studied by measuring the carbonyl index, storage stability and colloidal stability index. |
