Resumo: The research proposed in this work is the evaluation of the performance of a typical social interest housing unit of Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida - PMCMV. The central question addressed is the series production of dwellings by PMCMV without an adequacy to the contexts of the site of implantation. The case study chosen for this work was a housing unit unifamiliar, designed according to the minimum specifications for this typology and viable second criteria and furtherance of PMCMV for the population with income range from 0 to 3 minimum wages. We defined seven types of constructive systems of wall and five coverage for characterisation of the wrappers from the case study. Performance evaluations were carried out for the case study in all areas bioclimatic from regulatory instruments currently subsidized by the government. It was applied method which consists in three steps of evaluations. The first consists of evaluation according to established performance thermal envelopes of NBR 15.220-3 (ABNT, 2005), NBR 15.575 (ABNT, 2008); Selo Casa Azul (CAIXA, 2010), and evaluation of the prerequisites of the envelope transmittance thermal capacity and thermal solar absorptance of surfaces RTQ-R (BRASIL, 2012a). The second step consists in evaluating the envelopes according to the Prescriptive Method RTQ-R (BRASIL, 2012a). The third step in the computer simulation of the housing unit for evaluation as Simulation Method prescribed by RTQ-R (BRASIL, 2012a). The results showed that the building systems that have ceramic composition and light exterior colors, as well as aluminum foil under the tiles have the highest levels of performance. And those who have concrete composition showed lower levels of performance. The building system composed solely of concrete molded into wall flunked all bioclimatic zones. Efficiency levels noted for the evaluation of prescriptive method and simulation
