Resumo: ABSTRACT In this work we present the Cycloid Curves: Cycloid, Epicycloid and Hypocycloid, making their parametrizations and building these curves with the support of GeoGebra software. In addition, we highlight properties and applications of these at curves. Speci cally, we present a work proposal to stimulate the study of Cycloid Curves in the 3rd year of High School. Some applications are related to the knowledge of the contents: uniform rectilinear motion, uniformly varied rectilinear motion, circular motion, force, energy, parametric equations of a line, trigonometric ratios, length and area of circle. A classroom experimentation was performed to present some properties of the Cycle Curves, since the demonstration of these properties covers concepts whose formal notation is specific subject of higher education. This experiment served to show that Cycloid Curves can be approached in a introductory way with the content of High School and that the motivation of the teacher is fundamental in the learning process.
