Resumo: In Brazil, in the period of elections for president (2018), and, after a period of political instability already identified before the impeachment of, then President Dilma Rousseff, the country found itself immersed in a polarization that suggests, until the present moment, a division between those who are aligned with the political thought of the left and those who are aligned with the political thought of the right. In this context, social networks emerged as a place where discussions, exhibitions and affiliations, which happened before face to face, started to flow more frequently. From then on, reading / listening to terms such as coxinha, esquerdopata, petralha, being used as a nickname to identify subjects who are linked to positions that represent this political positioning of the right and left, were, at the time, somewhat commonplace, today, continue from new configurations like gado, bolsominion. This movement of differentiation between leftists and right-wingers in Brazil, although not new, has shown much more than political choices. Based on the concept of the French Discourse Analysis of Foucaultian hue, and by authors such as COURTINE (2014), PIOVEZANI (2009), among others, we analyzed posts made during the 2018 election period, in a closed Facebook group entitled Direita x Left. Thus, it is concluded that the effects of the speeches produced by the subjects that define themselves as Right or Left reveal a lot about the subject himself. In this way, much more than just a political position, the subject external its subjectivities under construction; and in this construction, he reveals his affiliations, his denials, assertions and contradictions.
