Resumo: |
This study, elaborated in the Professional Master's Program in Arts (PROF-ARTES) of the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), by the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) investigates how to enable the development of reflective critical thinking through the imagery production of photographer Sebastião Salgado in the classes of the discipline Digital Photography. The research was carried out with the students of the Visual Communication course of high school of the Federal Institute of Maranhão/IFMA-Campus Monte Castelo. So that in the convergence between learning photographic techniques and the study of documentary photography of Salgado, one of the objectives of the course is achieved: associate with the use of technological resources the knowledge, ethical, aesthetic and political values that lead to the development of a critical reflexive posture, in the face of the humanization of man and work. For the development of the research, we analyzed the concepts of documentary photography, a theme practiced by Salgado, as well as his biography and among his productions, we delimited the Amazon project. Some of the authors who based our studies were: Flora Pidner, André Rouillé, Carla Albornoz, Kátia Lombardi, Arlindo Machado, among others. The results were obtained through the application of several methodological practices: textual production in envelopes, technical visit of studies and application of online questionnaires, ending with creation of portfolios on Facebook and Google Slides sites. We propose with the study to contribute in the scope of the practices applied to the teaching of photography, in view of the challenge of training young people qualified to overcome common sense and manifest critical thinking in the social, political and economic context in which they live. |
