Resumo: “Gender” is a consolidated practice in discourses and bodies, through which subjects recognize and identify themselves. Literature is one of the technologies that produce it, through language and within it. On the other hand, the writings of themselves enable access to various gender experiences, as they transform the truths of the text into mores, habits, behaviors and culture, characteristic of a time and region. Therefore, in this work, we put on screen a reflection that involves the themes of feminism and motherhood, from the point of view of gender coloniality (LUGONES, 2020), in order to historicize the governmentality that operates the feminist movement in Brazil, gender violence (politics) and the regulations around motherhood. It is in this sense that we analyze the autobiographies entitled Revolução Laura: reflexões sobre maternidade e resistência (2019a), Por que lutamos? Um livro sobre amor e liberdade (2019b) e E se fosse você? Sobrevivendo às redes de ódio e fake news (2020), by Manuela D’Ávila, verifying, through three axis, Manuela mother, woman and activist, as the eurocentric gender epistemes, taking into account gender as a category of the world-system modern/colonial- patriarchal, reflect the material, epistemic and symbolic implications of Portuguese colonization in Brazil, above all, in the female subjects. We emphasize that from the markers of gender, race/ethnicity, class, sexuality and nationality, we observe how Manuela D'Ávila's narrative configures an instrument for the removal of the Colonial Matrix of Power (MCP) that until today determines the praxis of the Brazilian. For this, we take decolonial studies as a theoretical and practical basis for opposition and resistance to colonial logic in order to observe how the coloniality of power, being and knowledge based on female experiences is revealed in the literary works in question/ Manuela's feminists and, especially, how the narratives contribute to thinking about “other” epistemes. Qualitative and bibliographical in nature, having as theoretical contribution Quijano (2005); Mignolo (2017, 2018, 2021), Lugones (2019, 2020); Gonzalez (2020); Espinosa (2009, 2017, 2020); Kilomba (2019); Saffioti (2011); Segato (2006, 2012), Butler (2003, 2015, 2016), Foucault (1982, 1996, 2004), among others, we verified the discourses/speeches on gender from the practices of subjectivation in autobiographies and feminist practices of the self, to the constitution of social roles of gender, family, labor relations and the occupation of public spaces of power by women.
