Resumo: The research deals with Afro-Brazilian Literature as a device for implementing Law 10.639/2003, in view of the construction of a teaching proposal with the literary memories of the Quilombola Community Jamary dos Pretos, located in Turiaçu, Maranhão. The general objective of the research was to analyze Afro-Brazilian Literature as a device for implementing Law 10.639/2003, at the Raimundo Sousa Quilombola Training Center (CFQ) in Turiaçu - Maranhão, with a view to building a teaching proposal with the literary memories of the quilombola community Jamary dos Pretos. The central problem of the investigation was how the teaching of Afro-Brazilian Literature can contribute as a device for the effectiveness of Law nº 10.639/2003, in CFQ Raimundo Sousa, from the Pedagogical Guide: Afro-Brazilian Literature and the memories of the Quilombola Community Jamary dos Pretos. The study is organized into six sections. The first section describes the introduction, in which we present the research interest, justification, objectives, legal achievements and anti-racist education, the structure of the research and the survey of theses and dissertations. Then two sections of theoretical foundation. The second section addresses Afro Brazilian Literature in the Brazilian educational system, based on the analysis of official and guiding documents. The third section deals with Afro-Brazilian Literature, its contexts and general characteristics. The fourth section addresses the methodological path of the research: from the paths taken to the results and presentation of the proposed educational product, called Pedagogical Guide: Afro-Brazilian Literature and the memories of the Quilombola Community Jamary dos Pretos. The fifth section presents an analysis of the inclusion of Afro-Brazilian Literature in CFQ Raimundo Sousa and Jamary's literary memories. The sixth section deals with final considerations. This study was based on the main bibliographic references: Duarte (2008, 2011), Carneiro (2005, 2011, 2018) Gomes (2012, 2017), Kilomba (2008, 2016), Munanga (2005, 1995), Silva (2015), Hooks (2017), normative and guiding documents that define the insertion and applicability of Law 10.639/2003 and the themes linked to this research, among others. This research is qualitative, instrumental, applied and used the case study approach. As data collection instruments we used semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, systematic observation and for data analysis we adopted content analysis. Through this study, it was possible to identify the need and importance of inserting the Pedagogical Guide for CFQ Raimundo Sousa, as an instrument for the implementation of Law 10.639/2003. This result was identified from the lack of Continuing Education and teaching materials that address Afro-Brazilian Literature in the Quilombola Training Center by alternating Raimundo Sousa. In addition to contributing to the recording of the stories (memories) of the Jamary dos Pretos quilombola community and to the construction of an anti-racist education.
