Resumo: Values are not just about price, goods or money, but about gestures that generate affective for people or qualities that attract their respect. These values on the production of bobbin laces from Raposa, in Maranhão, from the prolonged contact with the artisans who constitute the object of this research. We went to this community in order to understand the relations established not only between the lacemakers and the commerce in which they operate, but among all the complexity of values that accompany their relations. Based on participative design principles experienced and mediated by us designers and lacemakers. This possibility allowed us a less hierarchical action of design practice to work together, starting with the correspondences (GATT; INGOLD, 2013) with the exchanges and the sharing of a knowledge forgotten by the lacers from Raposa: the creation of the cardboard, which is a fundamental mold for the production of lace with original designs.
