Resumo: |
Introduction: Soccer is an intermittent feature sport with several high intensity actions. Depending on the type of competition/tournaments in which the teams are in contention may have different effort scans from each other. Objective: To analyze and compare the activity profile of professional soccer players in double elimination tournament matches and round robin tournaments. Materials and methods: The study looked at fourteen official matches, six in the double elimination (DE) tournament and eight round robin (RR) tournament, played by ± professional football team of the Brazilian B series (age: 25.40 ± 3.24 years; weight: 74.17 ± 4.60 Kg; height: 179.10 ± 7.94 cm; %G: 10.48 ± 1.14; %mm: 47.17 ± 1.67; IRL2: 696.00 ± 155.72 m; VO2 : 54,76 ± 12,24 mL.kg-1 .min-1 ), which kept regular and systematized training, and competed in regional and national competitions organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation during the 2018 season. The variables analyzed were total distance traveled, distance in high speed race, distance of sprints, number of accelerations and number of decelerations. The data is presented as ± standard deviation. Assumptions of normality were verified by Shapiro-Wilks test. For comparison between CO and CP, student's t test was used for paired samples. All statistical analyses were performed by GraphpadPrism 6 software and the significance level adopted was 5% (p<0,05). Results: The mean values for the Total Distance Covered marker were 9,479.00 ± 397.90 m and 9,885.00 ± 518.40 m for the CO and PC tournaments, respectively, and did not show significant differences. The average values for the High-Speed Race marker were 466.20 ± 76.65 m and 519.73 ± 94.19 m for the CO and PC tournaments, respectively, also showed no significant differences. The average values for distance in Sprint were 175.04 ± 35.26 m and 173.18 ± 48.41m for CO tournament and PC tournament, respectively, showed no significant difference. The average values for the number of accelerations were 99.50 ± 9.50 and 106.40 ± 7.80 for CO tournament and PC tournament, respectively, showed no significant difference. The average values for the number of decelerations were 93.80 ± 6.00 and 104.10 ± 8.60 for CO tournament and PC tournament, respectively, show significant difference. Conclusion: The current survey found that in both competitions, CO and PC, the profile of the activities of professional soccer players, total distance traveled, distance in high speed race, distance of sprints, number of accelerations do not present any differences, showing that different from what was expected, regardless of the type of competition the intensities are similar. |
