Resumo: With a growing number of digital literary books aimed at children, it is appropriate that these platforms become the subject of study and research to find out if the interfaces follow the guidelines of usability for children. As an object of research, this case study focus on Portal Biblon, which is defined as a social network for children with the purpose of promoting encouragement of children's literature, to evaluate its interface with emphasis on system usability and in the user experience of children. The methodology adopted was qualitative research, consisted of theoretical, empirical and exploratory phases. As a tool for data collection, this research made use of interview, assessment of Biblon portal interface, user observation, thinking out loud, actual usage record, Likert scale and survey of satisfaction and focus groups. The research shows the results obtained from heuristic evaluation with experts, based on guidelines of the authors Nielsen (1995), Shneiderman (2005) and Guaraldo and Andrade (2014), usability tests with children and observations made by the researcher during the usability test. It is considered that the Portal Biblon platform is an interactive product that allows kid's interaction with other kids and with the world of digital books. However, the portal's evaluation of usability pointed out some interface aspects that could be improved, and consequently provide a better user experience. Through the results, it was prepared a list of recommendations to improve Biblon Portal's usability that can also serve other children's literature websites with the same goal as Biblon.
