Resumo: |
(Phenology, floral biology and reproductive murici cherry (Byrsonima chrysophylla - Malpighiaceae)) Byrsonima chrysophylla, popularly known as wild cherry Surinam cherry is a shrub that occurs in dunes. The phenology, breeding system and pollination of plant species were studied in a fragment of restinga in Buriti Farm, Municipality of Barreirinhas (2 ° 43'22, 5 "S, 42 ° 49'50" W), Maranhão, between January 2005 and April 2006.Byrsonima chrysophylla has flowering annual, intermediate duration, occurring in mid-January to early March, and its fruiting occurs from March to April, when initiating the dispersal of its fruits. The flowers are hermaphrodite, pentamerous, and zygomorphic, with white petals. The androecium consists of 10 stamens with anthers and gynoecium laughed comprises trilocular ovary. The flowers have three ovules and pollen viability of 98.3%. The species is self, however, there is increased production of fruits from cross-pollination. Floral visitors were bees tribes Centridini, Tapinotaspidini, Meliponini and Xylocopini. According to the behavior and frequency of visits, the bees Centridini tribes are the main pollinators of this plant species. |
