Sobrecarga do cuidador familiar de idosos na quarta idade da Estratégia Saúde da Família

Resumo: The human ageing is a real fact and wordly the long life has been increasing. In Brazil the increasing population from the 80 years old has been a target of chronic diseases not transmittable and can cause limitations. The figure of the family minder so anises in that context who becomes a helper for the ageing. The care is generally assumed by a sole person of the family who experiments a considerable burden of performances, so causing an overburden. Goal: To analyse the overburden of the family minders for the ageings in the forth age, in the Strategy of Family Health in São Bernardo / MA (Brazil); Method: descriptive study also analyptical and transversal with a quantitative approach, in which 170 family minders took part and ageing ones under their care. The data were collected by means of 02 half structured questionnaires for the identification of the social- economical profile, also demographical, and the ageing’s health and minder’s and the scale of Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI), in order to avaliate the overburden to the minder. Result: In the characterization of the old age it was obtained that the most women (61,18%) were between 85 and 89 years old (37,65%), low schooling, windows (77,65%), with an income from 1 to 3 minimum wages, retired oves (100%), besides the majority possess health problems (95,29%) predominating chronic diseases like hypertension (38,24%) and diabetes (21,18%). The family minders (85,88%) were female (76,82%) with low schooling, married (61,17%) with family wage inferior to a minimum wage (77,65%), domestic (75,29%), daughters (43,52%) cared the ageing since more than 16 years (37,65%), those one abided in the same ageing’s residence (91,76%), with a moderate to severe overburden (90,59%). The variables years of study, to live with the ageing and the minders perception as to their own health were statistically meanful for the existence of the overburden. Conclusion: When it was analysed the family minders overburden in the fourth age, it was identified the minders under high overburden who faced several physical problems, also emotional, financial and social, so being necessary that the health professionals develop strategies directed to the prevention of the minders overburden, elaborating interventions which contribute to the increasing of the minder’s health quality and also can reflect itself in the care given to the ageing.
