Resumo: | The objective of this work was to analyze how qualified human resources management is conducted in Itaguai, Rio de Janeiro state. One of the types of qualitative research called 'case study' was used. Data collection was made by gathering documents and conducting semi-structural interviews, and the items surveyed were relative to both the internal and the external environment of the rural organizations in the municipality of Itaguai, which made possible the characterization of this municipality as well as the identification of: (a) the main agricultural activities; (b) the qualified workers in each of these activities; (c) the outstanding institutions as regards the qualification of the rural worker in Itaguai; and (d) the carrying out of qualified human resources management at rural properties in this municipality. Data analysis was based upon techniques used by Human Resources Management. Accord to the data analyzed it should be conclude that: there is the fact that these rural organizations of Itaguai are facing difficulties in hiring qualified workforce because of the recruiting process itself, the levels of the wages paid to the workers, and the illegal job status of some qualified workers. |
