Resumo: | This paper presents to the scientific and academic community involved with education (researchers, professors and licentiates) the astronomical observatory of the Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais – Bambui Campus as an informal education and scientific promotion space. This work was developed with the objective of aiding the teacher with the education-learning process of concepts present in Astronomy and Physics for basic education. We present the development of a Didactic Sequence organized in three stages: Pre-visitation, Visitation and Post-visitation. During the Pre-visitation stage, in which the students are prepared for the visit, we present the evolution of the concepts of Astronomy throughout history. The Visitation consists of five interactive activities, performed in small groups and developed under the perspective of favoring an active stance of the students, both when interacting with the assistant professors and in performing the tasks. During the Post-visitation, the themes and phenomena verified in the visit are resumed and the Origin and Formation of the Universe are approached. The results of the analyses of the potential of the didactic sequence and of the contributions of the informal space are presented based on the investigation of the process developed with a class of the sixth grade of grade school. |
