Resumo: The growing demand for mobile LTE connections results in the saturation of the available spectrum, motivating operators to search new frequency spectra for secondary/occasional use. The 5GHz frequency is being aimed for this exploration because it is not licensed but also less used. However, IEEE 802.11a/n/ac Wi-Fi standards operate on that same frequency and are affected by this operation. This document presents the study of the impact of the simultaneous operation between LTE-U and Wi-Fi, applying the candidate 5G modulations (F-OFDM/UFMC/ FBMC) in LTE-U, as well as combining them with the coexistence technique ABS in order to evaluate the performance of LTE-U and Wi-Fi traffic, through the parameters of BER, PER, Throughput and BLER. In due course, two coexistence techniques were proposed, LAS and RABS, being applied to LTE-U modulations and traffic behavior was analyzed, both for nodes and for mobile users. Thus, the impact of candidate modulations on coexistence was identified, both for LTE-U and for Wi-Fi, as well as having the LAS and RABS techniques achieved better performance for Wi-Fi traffic, as well as providing balanced indexes for the LTE-U traffic.
