This work aims to present the city of Nerópolis - Goiás through my childhood memories and the narrative of the interlocutors: the "old people", who are residents of the Center Sector of this city that hold in their individual and collective memories events that help me to know the District of Cerrado, humus that gave the corporeity to the form Nerópolis - city. However, I leave before this place, place of belonging. He began the work by demystifying the founding discourse of Farm Taveira's cradle farm, whose history is contained in a simulacrum of disagreements as to its location and, above all, the silencing of the descendants of the founding Taveira Family. Narrating the place where you lived a lifetime and, above all, knowing some stones of the way that fit the imaginary about Nerópolis as a city, for many times, made me suspicious that it would not be true to the knowledge acquired in the academy. But I count on the narratives of the old people of this place and start to weave the network of relationships of work, faith, life present in the daily life of these old people and in this way I withdraw this reliquary of formal and official discourse and dance the waltz of life in time in which this place was the Cerrado District.
