This dissertation examines sociologically, the meaning of work for (a) young apprentice, in Goiania. The objective was to understand the different meanings that can represent the work for this (a) young. And know the social reality that surrounds his life and everyday life: the world of work, school, family, socialization, dreams and obligations. But also that this representation (a) and Brazilian society does work. The research revealed that work for the majority of young people represents a transformation in their lives, because through it consumes, contributes to family income and starts to feel valued within the family and society. Despite feeling hurt (a) in relation to the little time you have left for the studies and leisure (a) satisfied young man is said to work as apprentice.
