Despite the large importance of the Wood in the national trade, the informations about it are extremely narrow, there is limited quantitative information about its use. The main objective of this work is characterizing the trade of sawn wood in the municipality of Goiania/Goiás, aiming to generate indicators to cover the lack of information in the wood sector. To the characterization of the sawn wood trade, it was interviewed about 30 wood owners, using a application form questioning all the data of the company and the species of the woods, also being collected wood specimen of each sales outlet, All the specimens were sent to a specific lab for anatomic macroscopic identification. As the main results we highlight the verification of all commercial establishments involved in this work are own, presenting a medium volume of wood purchase 106,33 m³/month with a consume of 98 m³/month. The main residues produced in the process of pitsawing are the trimmings and the wood dust, and 73% of total are sold to third part. It was identified 66 different wood species marketed in the municipality of Goiania that belong to 24 botanic families with special highlights to the Fabacea family, being the species Angelim vermelho, (Dinizia excelsa), Pinus (Pinus spp),Cumaru (Dipteryxodorata) e Eucalipto (Eucalyptusspp), the most commercialized. The total number of collected sample lab for anatomic macroscopic identification in a specific lab, 87% was named correctly by the wood industry. The state of Pará was the main supplier of sawn wood to the wood industry in Goiania, and the species which had the biggest average of buying and selling was Tectonagrandis (Teca), and Eucalipto had the smallest average, being the Civil constructor sector the largest consumer of sawn wood in the city of Goiania. |
