Segurança pública e desenvolvimento rural: análise dos furtos e roubos contra propriedades rurais em Goiás

Resumo: This study analyzes the public security factor as one of the elements that is part of the wellbeing in rural environment, and also as a support sector for public polices security to the rural development. To doing so, on the first chapter, the investigation compared the registry map of crimes in the region and its municipalities with the maps of the agricultural production of soy, sugar cane and corn, as well as cattle and swine farming; the research has also surveyed the assets subtracted and statistically correlated these data with some socioeconomic indicators; and it analyzed the role of the Military Police Georeferenced Patrol in the municipality of Catalão-GO, the spatialization of registry in the rural area of the municipality, the distance of the urban areas, the crime concentration in productive areas and the size of the victimized states; and, in the end, on the third chapter, this study described the goods extracted through robberies and theft and the financial loss occurred because of these crimes that were carried out in the rural area of Cristalina, as well as the circumstances in which they occurred. To achieve our goal, this study used the methods and procedures of documental research and followed the path of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of the investigation of the first chapter demonstrated that the crime concentration is higher in the largest areas of agricultural production in the state; the theft goods are mostly equipment, home appliances, foodstuffs, agricultural machinery and pesticides, while among the robbery goods firearms, money and cell phones also stand out; the study also revealed that, in Catalão, the public security policy of rural community policing represents a well – accepted partnership by the rural community, crimes in the municipality are concentrated in pasture areas, small properties are the most victimized and the concentration of records it is due to the proximity to the urban area; the study on criminal events against rural properties in Cristalina, pointed out that the robbery goods are mostly firearms, vehicles and cell phones, the financial losses are higher on theft due the subtraction of foodstuff, agricultural machine and energy transformer. These data, therefore, point out that coping with property crimes against rural properties requires the implementation and maintenance of public security policies in partnership with the rural community.
