Resumo: |
Our research effort has sought above all to understand how Jürgen Habermas's philosophical-social thought and Jörn Rüsen's socio-historical thinking can relate to the frameworks guided by the understanding of the phenomenon of enlarged rationality that operates within the work of both: reason communicative and historical reason. For this, the starting point was the reflection of Professor Luiz Sérgio Duarte on the linkage of both to a same theory of knowledge, which affirms the peculiarity of the symbolic phenomena and the strategies of their understanding and expression. On the one hand, this is related to the links between knowledge and interest, whose philosophy of modernity tries to cover up and which in both authors takes the form of a critical appeal to its recognition as to reinforcement of the rationality present in the sciences of culture; on the other hand, the conciliation of the particular knowledge, linked to the interests, finds its universal correspondent in a pragmatics that allows an objectivity and a communicative rationality that has in the nonviolent consensus its justification. Thus, viewed in two planes, the relationship between Habermas and Rüsen sustains a strategy of coping with human crises that allow the critical continuation of the project of emancipation from the Enlightenment. |
