This work presents a computational system of comparison of the optimization models that are used in the decision support for the planning of the operation of hydrothermal systems of electric generation. The system uses a database that covers the set of plants dispatched by the National Electric System Operator (ONS). The analysis of the planning takes into account the inflows of the water system over time, making the problem stochastic, large and nonlinear. Simulations were carried out in a case study of Brazilian plants located in the Rio Grande and Paranaíba Basin over a horizon of five years, and some models showed a significant improvement in the thermal cost gain for the period. The system resulting from this work also allows studies to be made in search of alternatives of a model that can meet the needs of the current planning model of the electric sector |
