Resumo: | Management by Competences is a model for people management that has been theoretically developed but still not widespread in organizations as a tool integrated into organizational strategy and knowledge management. The literature points to many researches on the concepts and application of the model of management by competences, occurring some case studies that expands its concept in order to include knowledge management, organizational learning and intangible assets, as competitive distinctions in the world market. This study aims to contribute to the advancement of the conceptual and operational models of management by competences, by presenting a literature review on management by competences and knowledge management and proposing an analytical model of management by competences integrated with knowledge management and organizational strategic goals, called MAGECOMP. The analytical model has been tested in practice by companies recognized by excellence practices in management,, specifically in two companies awarded by FNQ and IQM, in order to identify models used for management by competences, its results and links knowledge management and strategic goals, The research contributed to validate the model, enriching it with organizational and contextual variables in order to make it adaptable to different types of business and organization |
