Resumo: | This study attempts to identify the impact of implanting software factory structures, by thirdparty service provider companies, on the quality of service and competitive benefits (or advantage) perceived by their respective clients. The theoretical reference work from Porter (1989) and Pine (1993) were used to identify the competitive benefit gain. And the SERVQUAL instrument, Parasuram (1993), was used to evaluate the quality of service. The results were obtained from interviewing executives from a sample of companies that have a software factory installed, and that have been evaluated positively with respect to CMM and CMMI. And from a second sample of executives of companies clients of the services of software development factories. The analysis showed that there is a potential to obtain competitive benefit by the positive influence of the majority of the strategic goals involved in the factory industries. A larger collaboration in the quadrant of the organization positions of the Mass Production were identified, in the Dynamic Stability Model. Based on these quality dimensions it was verified that there are differences between what clients expectations have on the quality contribution potential and what suppliers have. |
