Resumo: | This work intends to analyze, according to the Historiography of Linguistics methodological parameters, two precursory dialectal studies on Brazilian Portuguese, both of them written in the beginning of the XX Century third decade: O dialeto caipira, by Amadeu Amaral and O linguajar carioca, by Antenor Nascentes. The core of this research is located in a methodological comparison of the description of Portuguese language developed in each one of the referred works, regarding the main areas of linguistic domain: phonology, lexicon and grammar. Theoretically, this paper follows the historiographical principle that understands linguistic texts as object of a study in which must be taken into account not only internal factors of linguistics as science, besides its relationships with other scientific areas, but also other factors that are external to the scientific paradigm, equally relevant for the understanding of the axiological forces that led them to obtain scientific relevance in the socio-cultural scenario of its time. |
