Resumo: This work aims data on the admission of women military in the territory of male Brazilian Navy and its impact on relations of gender and power. The qualitative research includes interviews with military men and women - squares and officers - who experience over twenty years and stay in these changes in gender relations. From the discussion about the cultural influences of the circularity of feminist ideology on the integration of women in the labour market, notably on the feminization of nursing, addresses the set of determining factors of the decision making process that culminated in the insertion military women. The dissertation deals with the characteristics of this area as an institutional culture of the male primacy in conjunction expected to social representations of the subject women and aims to analyze the historical process devised in the daily lives of gender relations between the military entered into this world organization. The results indicate varying perceptions about the contours of such relations, mainly contradictory aspects between the military and learn genuine legitimacy of the spaces of female power. The results indicate, though, opportunities, progress and setbacks of slow and complex reconstruction of subjectivities of the subjects involved also in reflecting structural adjustments in the institution.
