Resumo: The EALA teaching method of environmental education constitutes one basic tool worked out through qualitative studies and based on social-constructive research criteria, having the non-formal teaching of Education and Environmental Ethics as an aim. It was conceived using several artistic-play technics consolidated in the theory and practice of art education, in the teaching method of art-therapy, in the basic concepts of graphology, in Gustav Karl Jung s theory of personalities, in the moral and brazilian/planetary citizenship concepts and in other holistic concepts. The research was applied in the non-formal teaching of Environmental Education in chemical industries of Rio de Janeiro. For this purpose, one study of case in two chemical industries: Pan-Americana and Petroflex, was made. Themes with this target public in the universe of Environmental and Planetary Citizenship were worked, through full comprehension of the immediate dwelling, in its different contexts: Home, Quarter, Plant, Planet. As classes went by, the lack of natural space with its cognitive characteristics was replaced by artistic-play activities promoted in the Shed of the Arts. These activities included both the intectual and the motor aspects, as well as the student s perception, obtaining this way, a broad and whole answer. Fifty-four (54) basic themes were broached in an spontaneous way focusing on environmental-ethic concepts. The EALA method also allowed to evaluate the student/employee s environmental-ethic attitude in training process. The artistic activities made to emerge intimate contents released through successive techniques that permitted the student to exploit his own intimate self and of his colleague who shared the experience. One of the primordial objectives of this experiment was the team work, having the immediate external reality as a reference, with the conscience of experiencing an environment of risk inserted in the planetary ecosystem and managed by an internal environmental politics. The companies relation with the different contexts, their environmental politics and their Integrated Management System (IMS) with the Environmental Education were fully discussed, which allowed me to observe the development of a conscientiousness in employees/students in relation to environmental issues and of citizenship, a harmonization in relation to the nature and changes of behavior, thanks to the improvement in the integration of all the involved actors
