Resumo:	The objective of this study is to examine and analyze a proposal of a computational tool for mapping and sorting the ergonomic demands in a company, validating the proposal with future users and specifying its functional requirements. The motivation is centered in the proposal of an ergonomic diagnosis of work places, to attend a demand from the Safety, Health and Environment Management of the Petrobras. A panoramic view of ergonomics is presented, followed by a context of work, the metodologic approach, a short history of this discipline in Brazil and its application in Petrobras. This analyses is ended with some conclusions about the proposal.
