The present research has as its theoretical study object the Law Decree number 2208/97 and as its empiric object the institution CEFET-Campos. The proposed aim is to analyse critically through the political economy method the course of the implantation of the curriculum reformation promoted at CEFET-Campos from the promulgation of the decree mentioned previously and the adjustaments that were necessary to be done so that the institution could adapt itself to the new legislation. There was also a qualitative research which aimed at indetifying the opinions of the different social actores in relation to that reformation.
