Resumo: | The perspective on an evolution for an agriculture which can cause less impacts on the environment has already been incorporated to the official speech of the developed countries. Movements towards the introduction of bigger quality farming products has grown up, being developed in such an incomparable way. The world has been the host of unconventional agricultural productions systems or organic production systems. Taking this as a leading point, the conventional farming has lost room to the new ways of productions, as the several disadvantages it brings to the soil, the environment and mainly, to the farm-hand and the customers, have been made more obvious each day. The organic agriculture reorganizes and redefines the natural resources exploration process serving the necessities of the family agriculture and small-scale production as it generates new jobs in the farm area, improves de farmer lifestyle, makes environmental contamination drop dramatically and contributes to the improvement in the population health. The purposes this project are, most of all, to study the characteristics of the GAOI Grupo de Agroprodutores Orgânicos de Iconha and the ones of the Vero Sapore Associação de Agricultores Orgânicos Agroecológicos and also, of the farming production system they have adopted, identifying biodiversity protection practices for soil conservation and the quality of the water used in the south region of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. The methodology in use has been based on a close approach or exploring fase of the groups previously mentioned, followed by data collection done by questionnaires and interviews, live observation, property inspections and photographic register. It was made obvious that the family agriculture workers access to the social-economic progress depends on profound and effective reform on the land property, on the access to the benefits of governmental policies and the acceptance of those workers as real citizens with equal rights (and not only obligations). Opting for the familiar agriculture based on organic production it not enough. It is also necessary to understand that it is not the human presence that causes the environmental problems related to the agricultural practice but their unsuitable activities which must be modified in its way of dealing with natural resources if to be properly used. |
