Resumo: Quality of work life is one of the new challenges for the current administration , considering that business productivity and competitiveness , are always present purposes between the objectives to be achieved in the fierce competition existing in the labor market and is essential for any organization that has as its goal the satisfaction , development and productivity of their employees being final way , represented as a vital factor in determining the positive or negative outcomes of the services provided by them . The study began by describing the history and evolution of the concept of QWL and had as main objective to collect information and also propose institutional actions in the area of socio professionals in the workplace. To illustrate this theme, the research was conducted in CEFET - RJ, and how Quality of Work Life involves provided health advice to programs that take into account career aspirations, job satisfaction and organizational activity, we sought to identify ways that contribute order to achieve an environment of more modern and humane work, resulting in higher customer satisfaction and employee productivity in their professional environment. A questionnaire featuring questions that address the factors of Quality of Life at Work and based on the results was used, it is suggested proposals for practical quality of life at work implementing strategies that enhance professional performance and personal development of employees
