The growing evolution of the oil and gas industry has taken its companies to invest in the increase of the pipes infra-structure, which is necessary for the transportation and marketing of these products. The generated impact of these investments on the environment is notable, and measures must be taken to mitigate its effects. In this sense, this dissertation has tried to analyze the applicability of the Environmental Impact Studies of Pipelines Construction elaborated in accordance with the environmental licensing process, on the execution of the construction and assembling of the pipes. In a first moment, the conformity of the selected environmental impact studies with the current laws was analyzed, and the real quality of the elaborated document with the application of verifying lists was evaluated. The application of mitigate measures and environmental programs proposed in this dissertation was evaluated during the construction of the pipes. This evaluation was executed by the application of interviews with the personnel responsible for the environmental management of the site. Finally, conclusions were taken about the entire process of elaboration, following and control of the proposed measures and programs in this studies.
