Resumo: | The present study aimed to investigate the level of the employees´ motivation of Research Center of a Public Organization and how this value reflected on the personal lives of the same employees. The methodology consisted of a survey, using a questionnaire in order to analyze the level of satisfaction in the work environment, so as to verify employment and the efficiency of the tool called Job Satisfaction Scale EST, built by Siqueira at al, which allowed evaluating the influence of the work environment on the employees´ motivation. To fulfill and enrich the purpose of this work, it has been used two additional questionnaires to have data on opinions, perceptions and behaviors. The analyzed sample of the study was composed by 250 employees, with a return of 74 respondents. The result permitted obtaining the degree of perception based on motivation, including the following five of areas of examination: satisfaction with colleagues, salary, management, nature of work; and promotions. Among these five studied areas, one introduced a degree of satisfaction, one showed a degree of dissatisfaction, and finally another three had a state of indifference. |
