This paper aims to investigate how the practices of actions and Social Responsibilities (SR) projects are conceived in small and medium industries located in Representação Regional da Baixada ─ Nova Iguaçu of Firjan. The contradictory between the potentiality and capillarity of small and medium entrepreneurs, based on the research of the Ipea, untitled Research Social Action of the Companies and the statistical data of Brazilian Institute IBGE, emphasizing the representation of the small entrepreneurs for the good level of job and income of the Brazilian population. Given that the great economic challenge for this size of industries to remain in a highly competitive where investments at a first moment represents cost. It will be observed if SR practices have been changed. And how after the awareness work of Firjan nuclei of Social Responsibility, through a study case methodology with interviews and surveys to the SR managers. The results of small and medium entrepreneurs agree with the national and international studies presented in theoretical referential that it is possible SR management successfully for small and medium organizations, despite the economic challenges and the particularities of the achievement the analysis performed in the surveys applied in the industries indicate that the SR Nuclei of Nova Iguaçu has a representative role in the evolution of SR concept which represents more than philanthropy practices in its actions, programs and SR projects.
