The use of Information Technology (IT) has become more frequent in developing systems for healthcare services and in particular, Electronic Health Records, with the expectation that IT contributes, in this context, to improve productivity and quality of health care, to integrate organizations and to facilitate the research and management of health processes. This work analyzes the user's perception about the quality of the records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The method adopted for evaluating the transition from paper to electronic records, based on the application of a specific questionnaire to analyze the perceptions of health professionals about the records in EMR. The survey was conducted among a group formed by 40 infectologists, users of EMR System at IPEC (SIPEC). The results showed that the facilities offered by the EMR were the main motivation for their adoption and use, innovation and adaptive technologies applied to SIPEC proved to be a great ally in improving the quality of data for supporting of integrated health care, education and clinical research
