Resumo: According to reports issued by UNCTAD (UNCTAD 2004), we perceive a service commercialization constant growing during the last twenty years. This fact brought a tough competition influenced by the technological revolution. In this context, the adaptability and anticipation capacities are potential factors for a company survival. Focusing in financial services, it is clear that the Information Technology plays an important role under the company operational process. It represents the main agility factor. In a nutshell, companies change according to tendency waves influenced by the global market. However, it can be much expensive for some companies to follow this tendencies if they don t have an agile and organized structure in order to adapt themselves. The agility could be comprehended as a capability in answer quickly the changes and to explore them as a competitive advantage, according to Dove(1996) and Kidd (1995). The agility theme is not a new one. The manufacture industry is already studding it by a long period thru the Agile Manufacture concept. This fact provides a subject maturity with several researches case studies in this theme. This study has the aim to identify what the Brazilian companies have been done in this area thru an exploration research. It will be used interviews and an on-line survey. The research will focus in practices used by IT governance, adopting the Agile Manufacture concepts, and provide a qualitative analysis from the results acquired
