In a globalization scenario, uncertainty and high competitive edge between the companies, every manager needs to make decisions that bring competitive advantage to their organizations. These decisions are every time more complexes, which demand a more rapid and precise information to allow an efficient decision-making. Is in this scenario that the Information Systems (IS) have gained importance in the decision-making process. Yet, many of these IS may not be adequate to the manager s needs. The present study aims to identify the perceptions of the managers of an Organizational Unit of a business segment of oil and derivatives about the support given by the IS regarding their decisions-making in the companies. To get the expected results, a questionnaire based on the critical factors involved in the IS s quality was applied and directed to the managers of this Organizational Unit. This questionnaire is. The result of this study will enable professionals responsible for development ISs and other professionals who work with these systems and managers, to identify strengths and weaknesses of the existing systems
