Resumo: | Corporate Social Responsibility has been more and more associated to competitive advantage. Hence, organizations are increasingly concerned about reaching and demonstrating environmental, economic and social performances which are consistent with recognized business practices. For that purpose, many management tools have been and are yet being created among them International Standard for Social Responsibility, ISO 26000, which is still under development. The ISO 26000 Guidance Standard represents a possible international reference in relation to Social Responsibility. Within this context, it becomes important to analyze its development, since it leads to a universalization of definitions, concepts, practices and ways to implement Social Responsibility in organizations from different countries. The present study aims to analyze the incorporation of typical principles from Social Responsibility by ISO 26000 standard, to compare it to main foreign standards and to verify its possible limitation and benefits. |
