Resumo: | Introduction: Cervical cancer is the 3rd type of cancer that kills women the most in our country. The Pap test is the main screening strategy to detect precursor lesions and to diagnose the disease early. In this perspective, as an opportunity for learning and professional technical improvement, we can use the Information and Communication Technologies for training and updating in relation to the methods and skills for carrying out the test, according to current protocols. Aligned with the research line organization and evaluation of health care systems, this project seeks to meet the demand for permanent education related to updating nurses in primary health care in the municipality of Serra, ES. Objectives: Develop an online course-type educational technology on cervical cancer screening and validate content and appearance. Method: Methodological study developed in three stages: In the first, preparation of online course content based on Ministry of Health manuals, gynecology textbooks, clinical guidelines of national and international gynecology and nursing associations and the elaboration of corrected learning verification exercises by pedagogy professionals. In the second stage, validation by consensus, performed by a group of 21 nurse judges through the online Delphi panel. In the third stage, construction of the online course platform and organization of screens with content and images. The study was funded by the Espírito Santo Research Support Foundation. Results/Product: The online course has seven modules, 65 content screens, each module with a nine-hour workload, totaling 45 hours. The course has 53 learning activities that were produced based on the contents covered and contemplate multiple choice and quiz questions. It also has 26 pre-test and post-test questions to be asked at the beginning and end of the course. The theoretical content was validated by 21 judges with an agreement above 0.80, being considered adequate. Conclusion: The online course is a reliable, viable and timely tool to be used in distance education and training. It has the potential to generate impact and applicability at 12 local, regional and national level, as it will be made available on a virtual platform. After the registration of copyright, the course will be available for training professionals and academics in health courses, strengthening the professional training policy, being a training strategy and updating knowledge about the prevention and screening of cervical cancer. The theoretical material developed and evaluated in partnership with professionals from the institution will be returned to the health department. |
