Resumo: | The present work is related to the theme of dull humor and performance in jokes in Libras. It is a documentary research, whose main source are audiovisual records. The theoretical approach used is anchored in studies on Humor (BERGSON, 2018; BAKHTIN, 2002; PROPP,1992; POSSENTI, 1998), performance (ZUMTHOR, 2018) and literature in Libras (SUTTON-SPENCE, 2021; MORGADO, 2011 ). The central objective is to describe and analyze the video jokes signaled by the deaf capixaba author Alberto de Oliveira Leite, in order to understand how the aesthetic-literary, cultural and performative aspects generated a comic effect responsible for the construction of humor in these narratives. The results of the analysis revealed that the author masters both the logical organization of comic narratives and the aesthetic-literary resources of Libras, such as the use of incorporation, as he manages to change his body shape in seconds to represent a character and immediately return to his previous form. He also uses other resources depending on the comic effects they want to generate in the narrative, namely: a) intensification of the rhythm; b) increase or decrease in the speed of the scenes; c) use of zoom, when you want to enlarge an image; d) use of slowmotion, when you want to highlight a detail of the scene for the public. Exaggeration and the grotesque are persistent in the bodily forms created by the humorist. His ability to dilate the body is remarkable, creating exaggerated and grotesque images that border on the absurd, therefore, provoke laughter. Although this dilation of the body is apparently spontaneous, it is a complex process that requires a great mastery of the body parts in movements that are planned in the author's mind, a kind of sculpture that is remade at every moment throughout of the narrative. Alberto's performance art makes people laugh because of its body shapes and also because of its criticism of the established order. In classic jokes, for example, there is a exaltation of the culture and values of the deaf community; in the jokes told in the Humor deaf contest, debauchery appears, mockery of human defects and the setbacks of life. Thus, the results of this research clearly evidenced the aesthetic value and literary richness that materialize in the poetic body of the author. |
