Resumo: | This thesis presents a critical analysis of the social cognitive and ideological control in the discourse of the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo on the controversy that occurred between the years 2010 and 2012 around the book Hunts Pedrinho (1933), by Monteiro Lobato. This work was denounced by the movement of black question as unfit for distribution in schools without a note that contextualize the time of its production and the racist content. The analyzed corpus is composed of five stories, selected from a group of 15 that were about the case in the period between October 2010 and September 2012. The theoretical framework of this study is anchored primarily in research on racism, ideology and discourse from the linguist Teun van Dijk (1987, 1991; 1995; 2000; 2002; 2008; 2009; 2012a; 2012b; 2012c; 2015), in dialogue with sociologists Kabengele Munanga (1999) and Jacques d 'Adesky (2009), among others. The method of approach used is a qualitative-interpretive, with analysis targeted the categories of social cognitive context and discourse listed by van Dijk. Research has shown that still occurs to maintain a preferred setting for the display of ethnic issues as a problem, from the manipulation of context and ratification in the discourse of ideological strategies of positive self-presentation and other negative performance, observed and validated in both the global approach, as in the local news. |
