Resumo: | This thesis integrates an entirety of studies in the line of Education Research and Graduate Program Languages of the Federal University of Espirito Santo. Specifically it is associated with the Center of Studies and Research in Literacy, Reading and Writing of Espirito Santo (Nepalese). Based on the theoretical assumptions of Mikhail Bakhtin (2003, 2006) and Paulo Freire (1979, 1980, 2003a, 2003 b, 2005), the research was mainly aimed to investigate the concepts of language and literacy that supported the literacy work at Ceeja-VI from the end of the 1980s until 2003. The methodology applied in this research was the development of a qualitative case study, through documental analysis. The locus of the research was the Ceeja, located in Vitória - ES. In order to collect the desired data an interview took place with five professionals: the director and the pedagogue in office at the time of the establishment of classes for illiterate students, the teacher responsible for the production of the materials, and two teachers, one who taught in the late 1980s and the other who worked until the year 2003. Conceptual notions of "enunciation", "verbal interaction" from Bakhtin (2003, 2006) and "dialogic", "verbosity alienated and alienating" from Freire (1979, 2005) were used in the analysis of the materials utilized in the literacy work held at Ceeja-VI. The study aimed to understand the process of young adults and adults literacy conducted at Ceeja-VI during the timeframe addressed in this research and having as source documents such as norms and pedagogical devices used by that unit and the links between these concepts and the theoretical trends and methodology in the field of literacy. The results of this research led to the knowledge of concepts in language and literacy, materialized in educational inputs used in the Ceeja-VI, from the end of the 1980s to the year of 2003. |
