Resumo: | Chapters 1 and 2 as study genetic diversity of different Coffea arabica cultivars based on fruit characteristics, concentration, accumulation, nutrient withdrawal and nutrient return (straw), as well agronomic and anatomical leaf characters. In chapter 1, the evaluation of fruit characteristics, concentration, accumulation, nutrient withdrawal and nutrient return (straw) was carried out. Data were subjected to analysis of variance, followed by means comparison of Tukey`s test at 5% probability level (p ≤ 0.05) and estimates genetic parameters and clustering by the hierarchical UPGMA method. The characterization of fruit and mature and dry coffee beans partially indicated different behavior between the cultivars. Greater accumulation was observed in most macronutrients and some micronutrients in grain, fruit and straw. N, K and Ca were the most macronutrients found in the grain, fruit and straw, however Fe, Mn and B were the most accumulated micronutrients in the grain, fruit and straw of evaluated cultivars. In chapter 2, agronomic and anatomical leaf characters were evaluated. The data were submitted to variance analysis, followed by means comparison of Tukey`s test at the level of 5% probability (p ≤ 0.05) and estimates genetic parameters and grouping by hierarchical UPGMA method, and Pearson`s linear correlation analysis. The variance analysis partially indicated different behavior among the cultivars in the evaluated characteristics. The UPGMA clustering method distinguished materials into two groups, and the cultivar Catucaí Amarelo 2SL showed greater dissimilarity compared to others. There were positive and negative Person correlations with significance levels ranging from weak to strong among variables evaluated. |
