Resumo: The festivals are globalized products, take place in various aesthetic spheres and assume an important role in the art of this century. The story of these events focused on the music shows that have marked generations and memories, so important role in today's culture. Even if submitted to the music industry and television national song festivals, especially the contemporary censorship, allowed the manifestation of musical art committed to democracy. Resisting or adapted to the relationship of musical entrepreneurs, were and are places of popular manifestation, presented as a possibility of expression of culture, art and contemplation in the experiment of freedom and transgression. The annual Festival of Student Song from Bahia, even if dealing with institutional project, reveals clear meanings of cultural and artistic constitution of the national festivals of our history, allowing the youth protagonist from his songs, for sing the Middle, their issues and social issues of the place they inhabit. In this work, words and thoughts cancionais presented by young people from the region far south of Bahia, take the form of narratives, as a means of critical interpretation of symbols and representations that prepare youths to address the everyday.
