Resumo: | This dissertation has as its object of study the Renova Foundation, its actions and repercussions in the organizational processes of the struggle of those affected. This is a qualitative study, carried out through documentary research, using materials prepared by the Renova Foundation, the Federal Public Ministry, the Movement of People Affected by Dams and journalistic websites that have followed the case of the Samarco dam rupture. Based on the theoretical contribution to the themes of the State and social classes in Marx, Engels, Lenin and Gramsci, we seek to guide our theoretical discussion. The authors of the Marxist Dependency Theory were part of our discussion, in order to understand the Latin American and Brazilian particularity, with regard to the mechanisms of expropriation of dependent economies. We start from the hypothesis that the Renova Foundation continues to be a mechanism used by mining companies to hide the continuity of the crime disaster. Acting through the legitimacy of the State, the institution acts to shape coercion and consensus, equipping institutional spaces, weakening and dividing the collective struggle of those affected through their interventional actions. In order to understand this scenario and carry out the analytical discussion of Renova, we rely on the Gramscian reflection on the private devices of hegemony. |
